This is the place where multi-passionate art world professionals come together to actively shape the sustainable art world of the future. Fine artists, art historians, curators, educators, researchers, cultural workers, and visual creatives of all kinds gather here to take responsibility and participate in a shared experiment that charts new pathways for how art is created, shared, interpreted, narrated, preserved, and remembered. We work largely digitally and in a decentralized way, so that as many people as possible can participate and contribute.

Founded by art historians, we see ourselves as part of a larger conversation and a growing international network for people who call the art world their home. Since 2020, we have been cultivating spaces where ideas take root, knowledge circulates, and new perspectives emerge.

Our Work Towards the Art World of the Future

We support projects that build capacities, spaces, structures, and support systems for art world professionals to act with agency, strengthen fair working conditions, protect and promote cultural diversity, and advance sustainable transformation in the visual arts. We do so through principles that bring together art and climate action, fair and collaborative practices, cultural diversity,  and international co-creation—guiding the art world toward a better tomorrow.

We intentionally use the term “art world” to emphasize the entire ecosystem, from individual practitioners and working methods to the infrastructures and conditions that shape the field. You can explore this broader perspective in our “Art World Compass” (currently available in German), designed to offer guidance and spark discovery.

Our mission comes to life through monthly online events on current topics, along with special virtual and in-person formats. These include networking sessions, presentations, art talks, workshops, and our signature confluences.

Our Commitments

Our work strongly aligns with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and we support the vision of a potential 18th SDG recognizing culture at the heart of the global goals. As a volunteer-driven organization, we collaborate with leading cultural initiatives through partnerships, education, and civic engagement. Together, we are aiming to strengthen connection, visibility, and recognition for both the essential role of arts and culture in society and for the people working toward a responsible, fair, and diverse art world for all.
